RPL clubs will consider Zenit’s proposal to be included in the RFU regulations

Zenit General Director Alexander Medvedev in his letter to RPL President Ashot Khachaturyants complained that the current rules for resolving disputes of the RFU are aimed at the detriment of the legitimate rights and interests of the clubs. This statement, as well as an explanatory note to it with proposals for changes, is at the disposal of Izvestia.

According to Izvestia, the clubs will consider this issue on Wednesday at a general meeting of the RPL. At the end of October, the head of the St. Petersburg club sent the head of the league a proposal to change this regulation. He referred to the fact that this initiative was supported by the lawyers of the Moscow Spartak, CSKA and Dynamo.

In an explanatory note, Medvedev indicated that the current procedure for imposing interim measures in the form of a ban on the registration of new players and the procedure for the entry into force of these decisions are unbalanced. According to the club, they are more focused on protecting the interests of players and coaches.

If the RPL clubs approve Zenit’s proposals, the general meeting will approve a single position on this issue and propose to the RFU executive committee to approve it. The RFU Executive Committee will be the final body considering these amendments.
