Tennis professional Jan-Lennard Struff has reached the semi-finals of the ATP tournament in Munich. The 33-year-old from Warstein won 7:5, 6:4 against Felix Auger-Aliassime from Canada. Struff’s game against the former top ten player had been canceled the evening before when the score was 7:5, 3:1 due to darkness, much to the German’s chagrin – one night later the Davis Cup player didn’t let his lead be taken away.
Just a few hours after the extra shift, Struff is already scheduled for the semi-finals of the clay court event on Aumeisterweg. There he will meet last year’s winner Holger Rune from Denmark in the afternoon. Previously, US professional Taylor Fritz and the Chilean Cristian Garin, who defeated the top seed Alexander Zverev from Hamburg, played for the first final ticket.
