He Cardiff City estimated at more than 120 million euros (about 128 million dollars) the damage suffered in the dispute between him and the French club of Nantes since the plane crash that cost the life of the Argentine striker Emiliano Sala in 2019his lawyer indicated this Monday.

After “a deep analysis” carried out by a judicial expert, “Cardiff’s damage is estimated at 120.2 million euros”declared this Monday to the AFP the Welsh club’s lawyer, Celine Jonesconfirming information from the newspaper L’Equipe.

This analysis will be presented this Monday before the Nantes Commercial Courtwhich must set the calendar for the process that has confronted the two clubs since the death in a plane crash in January 2019 of Hall.

The 28-year-old striker died in the accident of the small plane that was taking him from Nantes to Cardiffwhere he was going to be presented with his new team, after both entities agreed on the transfer of the footballer.

He Cardiff City considers that Nantes was responsible for the private flight and that the signing of the Argentine forward was not yet effective at the time of the accident, which occurred in English Channel.

The Welsh club complains to the Nantes Commercial Court compensation for the loss of income suffered by the entity due to the accident Hall.

“If Sala had been able to play, he would have scored goals by force between January and June 2019 and Cardiff would have remained in the first division. It would be unrealistic to think that he would not have scored goals”said Jones at a hearing held in June 2023.

In another process related to this dispute, the court of the FIFA ordered last year to Cardiff to pay to Nantes what remained of the agreed transfer, that is, some 11 million of the 17 in which the operation was carried out.
