Figure skaters Alexandra Stepanova and Ivan Bukin became Russian champions in ice dancing. This was reported on Friday, December 24, by the Sport-Express newspaper.
The couple took first place in the free dance. Stepanova and Bukin scored 134.61 points. On account of the athletes in the sum of rhythm dance and free dance 223.37 points.
The silver medalists of the championship were Diana Davis and Gleb Smolkin, with 207.70 points in the sum of rhythm dance and free dance. Bronze was won by Elizaveta Khudaiberdieva and Yegor Bazin (195.75 points on the sum of two performances).
Victoria Sinitsina and Nikita Katsalapov, who were in the lead after the rhythm dance, withdrew due to Katsalapov’s injury in training.
