“Novak Djokovic, when leaving Center Court after his match, was hit in the head by a water bottle while signing autographs for spectators,” the tournament reported in a statement published on its social networks. “He received adequate medical attention and has already left the Foro Italico to return to his hotel”they added.
Social media was filled with images showing that the bottle had come out of a fan’s backpack and hit Djokovic.
