St. Petersburg football club “Zenith” on December 25 congratulated figure skater Kamila Valieva on winning the title of champion of Russia, writes “Sport-Express”.
The club’s press service has published a photo of the athlete taken at the home arena of St. Petersburg residents.
“Congratulations to Kamila Valieva on her victory in the Russian Championship and we are again waiting at the Gazprom Arena,” reads a message posted on Twitter.
15-year-old figure skater Kamila Valieva became the Russian figure skating champion earlier on Saturday at a competition in St. Petersburg. She received 193.1 points for free skating, gaining a total of 283.48 points.
The athlete broke her own world records for the points scored in the free program and in the sum of the two programs.
The world record will not be officially ratified because the International Skating Union (ISU) does not take into account the results in national tournaments.
After the victory, Valieva thanked the coaches for her success.
The Russian Figure Skating Championship was held in St. Petersburg from 23 to 25 December.
