Former footballer of St. Petersburg “Zenith” and the Russian national team Andrei Arshavin commented on reports of the possible departure of Artyom Dziuba from the team.
In an interview with Sport-Express, Arshavin noted that the striker is already at that age “when the understanding that you should benefit the team in any capacity and in any role should appear.” According to him, the final decision on Dziuba and other Zenit players who may leave the club has not yet been made.
“And whether this loss will become painless depends on who the club will replace. And how will the newcomers fit into the game, ”he explained.
This season, Dziuba played 24 matches for blue-white-blue, scored 10 goals and made 9 assists. His contract with Zenit is valid until the end of June 2022.
The day before in Zenit denied information about negotiations with Kazan Rubin on the transfer of forward Artyom Dziuba. In an interview with TASS, the general director of the St. Petersburg team, Alexander Medvedev, said that the announcement of the negotiations was not true.
“I’ll say more – this is bullshit,” Medvedev said.
