FC Spartak Moscow has announced a number of events dedicated to the centenary of the club. This was announced on Monday, December 27, by the head of the club’s press service Dmitry Zelenov.
“We will announce about all the promotions dedicated to the centenary of Spartak in the new year. A number of events are planned, including those affecting the visual component, “RIA Novosti quotes Zelenov.
Earlier that day, “Sport-Express” reported that in 2022 the capital’s FC Spartak will update the emblem starting next season. The new emblem is already used in club products, as well as in the design of the team’s office, writes RT. The new diamond will change the shape of the letter “C” and the ball inside it.
At the moment “Spartak” occupies the ninth line of the standings of the Russian Premier League (RPL). Also, the red and white won a ticket to the 1/8 finals of the Europa League.
On December 23, Spartak announced that in winter the club would sell several players, writes Life.ru.
On December 21, the former head coach of the Russian national team Stanislav Cherchesov, who had headed the Hungarian Ferencvaros the day before, allowed his return to Spartak. According to him, he is ready to return to the team, provided that he becomes the head coach. Cherchesov’s agreement with the Hungarian club is valid until June 30, 2024, notes the TV channel “360”.
