Alejandro Garnacho is the second most valuable Argentine Sub 20 of all time

The season of Alejandro Garnacho with Manchester United promoted him as one of the most valuable players of the English team.

At just 19 years old, the Argentine scored 10 goals in 50 games during the 23/24 season and was a brilliant figure in the FA Cup final against Manchester City.

Without yet having reached the age of 20, Garnacho obtained a quote for the specialized site Transfermarkt of US$48.9 million (€45 million). and positioned himself as the second most valuable Argentine U-20 of all time.

The winger chases the record of Lionel Messi, who playing for Barcelona achieved a record amount of US$65.2 million (€60 million) when he was just a youth player and who later, as the best in the world, rose to US$195.6 million (€ 180 million) in 2018.

Garnacho’s performance in Erik ten Hag’s team was outstanding and although the club’s Premier League campaign was irregular, the Argentine’s level was among the best. The attacker was only absent in two games and seven of his goals were for the local tournamentadding one in the Champions League and two more in the local cups.

Since his professional debut with Manchester’s most historic team, Garnacho played 86 games and scored 15 goals. In this 23/24, the Argentine winger doubled his scoring record from last season and his leap in quality was notable.

Garnacho had an increase of US$5.5 million (€5 million) in its current valuation and maintained a positive streak of three upward revisions.

During this season, the Argentine had an overall increase of US$21.7 million (€20 million), since he started the season with just US$27.1 million (€25 million).

In the English squad, the U-20 is now the fifth most important in market values, a ranking led by the Portuguese Bruno Fernandes with $76 million (€70 million) and where names such as Rasmus Højlund appear with $s. 70.6 million (€65 million), in addition to Marcus Rashford with another US$65 million (€60 million). Garnacho is just $16.3 million (€15 million) away from reaching the top three in the club.

Those same US$16.3 million (€15 million) also separate him from Lionel Messi, who for Argentina has been the highest-rated U-20 of all time. The best in history reached that figure at the end of 2007 in just five seasons since his debut in Spain.

Subsequently, it had a small devaluation to US$59.7 million (€55 million), a drop that would not prevent his jump as the best player on the planet and that in 2018 led him to be valued at US$195.6 million ( €180 million), today as the second most valuable player in all of history. His numbers with Barcelona were notable: 672 goals and 303 assists in 778 games.

Alejandro Garnacho He has an interesting margin to continue growing as an Under-20 player, and even more so if he maintains his rising level as a Premier League player. Among the youth players in the championship, Kobbie Mainoo is the leader with a price of US$54.3 million (€50 million), which he shares with the undervalued Evan Ferguson, who at the beginning of 23/24 reached a figure of u $s 70.6 million (€ 65 million) without being able to maintain it. Garnacho is third and his closest guard is Rico Lewis, who has a valuation of US$41.3 million (€38 million) for Manchester City.

Furthermore, the winger is already the sixth most valuable Argentine today and his position could remain firm for a long time, since reaching the top seems like a difficult task. Lautaro Martínez is the king with a valuation of US$119.5 million (€110 million) and Julian Alvarez is second with US$ 98.7 million (€ 90 million), in addition to Alexis Mac Allister in third position with his new US$81.5 (€75 million), an individual record he achieved in his first campaign with Liverpool.

The interesting thing is that Garnacho is the only Sub-20 in the current ranking and its superiority in the category is absolute.
