The athlete noted that the team did not have intersections with other people who were not related to the MFM.
On December 30, the Council of the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) canceled the MHM, stressing that the health of the players is a priority. Federation President Luc Tardiff noted that the organization has adjusted the tournament protocols to introduce daily testing and a requirement to quarantine the team upon confirmation of positive cases, but that was not enough.
