Ms. Wontorra, let’s start with a typical leading question from football interviews: How excited are you about the upcoming European Football Championship in your own country?
Wontorra: A footballer would answer: “I am really looking forward to the upcoming European Football Championship in my own country.”
Her father is the legendary sports reporter Jörg Wontorra, who hosted the “Sportschau” in 1984. A role model?
Wontorra: As a rebellious teenager, I initially excluded everything my parents did for a living. My mother, a three-time dance world champion, was a member of the first RTL sports editorial team. In the end, I think both of them gave me the job.
