As the European Championship kicks off, hosts Germany are well on their way to giving their euphoria an extra boost. At halftime, they are leading 3-0 against Scotland.
From the kick-off, the Scots were in control of the changes of pace that Germany’s pacemaker Toni Kroos triggered in midfield. Joshua Kimmich brought the Real Madrid striker’s pass to the middle, and Florian Wirtz took the ball directly from a central position. Scotland’s goalkeeper Angus Gunn was still there, and the ball bounced off the post into the goal – 1:0 (10′).
