Ice hockey star Leon Draisaitl of the Edmonton Oilers was not really fit for the decisive game of the season. His coach has now confirmed this.
Coach Kris Knoblauch has confirmed that national ice hockey player Leon Draisaitl played injured in the final series for the Stanley Cup. “Finger, ribs,” said the Edmonton Oilers coach in Edmonton, two days after the 1:2 defeat against the Florida Panthers in the decisive seventh game of the series. Knoblauch did not give any more details.
Immediately after the defeat, Draisaitl himself did not want to provide any information about the nature of his injuries. “We don’t need to talk about that now,” he said. Knoblauch also did not provide any details about the injury to Draisaitl’s colleague Connor McDavid.
