The front Luis Miguel Rodriguez39 years old, was confirmed as a new reinforcement of Athletic Tucuman to face his third cycle in the northern institution.
The club made official the return of the attacker born in Simoca, becoming the second reinforcement of the team after the arrival of the Uruguayan Matías De los Santos.
This way, Rodríguez returns to Atlético Tucumán and this will be his third stint with the club (2007-2010, 2011-2018 and 2024), after leaving Gimnasia de Jujuy, where he played last season.
In his first spell at Atlético Tucumán he won the Torneo Argentino A championship in 2008 and the Primera B Nacional. After his brief stint at Newell’s, he returned to the “Decano” where he established himself and became an idol of the club, winning the Primera B Nacional again in 2015, being a finalist in the 2016-17 Copa Argentina and playing in the 2018 Copa Libertadores where he was eliminated against Gremio de Porto Alegre.
Between his two stages at the Tucuman club, “El Pulga” played 325 matches and scored 130 goals, making him the club’s second top scorer.
“I’m at home. I feel immense joy and I’m eager to return to training and be at the coach’s disposal. I hope we can achieve important goals,” he commented on the official Atlético Tucumán website.
