New competition for Sané, Coman & Co.: Offensive player Michael Olise is moving from England to FC Bayern. The price for the Frenchman is quite high.
The transfer of French offensive player Michael Olise (22) from Premier League club Crystal Palace to FC Bayern Munich is complete. As the German record champions announced, Olise will receive a contract until the summer of 2029. A transfer fee of around 60 million euros including bonus payments is reportedly being discussed.
“Michael Olise is a difference-maker who has aroused great interest with his style of play. We want new impulses in our team, new energy, new ideas – that’s what players like Michael Olise stand for,” said sporting director Max Eberl about the new Munich offensive player.
Olise moved from Reading FC to Crystal Palace in July 2021. In the past Premier League season, he scored ten goals in 19 games. Olise plays on the offensive wing and is expected to increase the competition in Munich against Leroy Sané, Kingsley Coman or Serge Gnabry.
Bayern have so far signed Japanese defender Hiroki Ito (VfB Stuttgart) for the coming season. In addition, defender Josip Stanisic (Bayer Leverkusen) and attacker Arijon Ibrahimovic (Frosinone Calcio) are returning from their loan spells.
