As of now, Rüdiger can choose his club for the next season. In the summer he is free transfer – but Real allegedly no longer want him.
Real Madrid are reportedly no longer considering signing Antonio Rüdiger from Chelsea FC on a free transfer. This is reported by the Spanish sports newspaper Markwho have favourited a report of the TV show The beach bar confirmed. Accordingly, the interest in the German national player has cooled significantly in the past few weeks.
Rüdiger’s (28) contract with the Blues expires in the summer. The attempts by the English to persuade the defender to extend it had so far failed. That is why he has been associated with numerous top clubs in recent months, including FC Bayern Munich and Real Madrid.
Two reasons for the Real move away?
According to the report, there have been talks between Real and the player side, Rüdiger himself had already talked to some players from the Madrid squad. But in the meantime Real have come to terms with the fact that there will be nothing with a deal in the summer.
On the one hand, this has to do with Rüdiger’s financial demands and, on the other hand, the fact that Real coach Carlo Ancelotti is currently very satisfied with the central defender duo Eder Militao and David Alaba and sees no need for improvement in these positions.
