“Hi people, I’m stopping by to have a little chat with you. I have been receiving many negative messages but also many positive messages.mainly from people who know me,” the 22-year-old said in a video posted on Instagram. “I’m fine, as far as I can be, because what is happening to me is very sadbut everything will be resolved at the right time,” he continued.
In that sense, he explained: “I live from sport, I am a high-performance athlete, so what I am going through is a very delicate moment. Since I was little, I learned what hierarchy is, what respect is, what meritocracy is, what education is. All of this comes from my parents because they are in the military.”

The athlete confirmed that she continues training despite having been expelled from the Olympic competition: “I have a competition coming up, so I need to perform again,” she said. She also assured that she is “very sad” because of the way he left the Olympics.
“I would just swim in a racebut I will continue to cheer for everyone who is there, all the people who are there, cheer for the Brazilian team, that’s all,” Vieira concluded.
The swimmer claims that it was a “communication failure”

After the expulsion, the couple shared an official statement to give their version of what happened. In it, they assured that They inquired about the possibility of going to the Eiffel Tower using official transportation.
“We made the mistake of not communicating in the proper manner required by the Safe Sport Guide.so we were warned. We did not communicate because, despite being outside the Village, all the logistics of the trip were done through the means provided by the organization. We have been living together for more than 3 years, these are our second Olympic Games together, we are from the same club, We have always separated our personal and professional side very well, and everyone who knows us and lives with us knows this very well.”
For his part, the head of the Brazilian swimming team, Gustavo Otsuka, declared to Reuters: “We are here to work for Brazil, not to take a vacation. We have a responsibility to the 200 million taxpayers who trust us. We can’t afford to play”.
