United defender Alex Tuanzebe had little chance of playing time at Villa. So now he’s moving to Naples.
Serie A club SSC Napoli have signed defender Alex Tuanzebe from Manchester United. Both clubs officially confirmed this on Saturday. The 24-year-old will be loaned to the Partenopei by the English record champions until the end of the season.
The rental fee for Tuanzebe is according to one GuardianReport 500,000 euros. Before Napoli could bag the deal, Tuanzebe’s loan to Aston Villa had to be canceled. He was supposed to gain match practice there by the summer, but hardly got a chance under the new coach Steven Gerrard.
Manchester United: Tuanzebe is under contract until 2023
Tuanzebe comes from United’s own offspring. His contract with the Red Devils runs until 2023.
Tuanzebe has not yet made a breakthrough among United’s professionals and has been awarded a total of three times to Aston Villa. 28 appearances in the Premier League are so far in the vita of the central defender.
