Union from Santa Fe tied 1 to 1 with Belgrano from Córdoba, in a controversial ending, but retained the lead, in a match played tonight within the framework of the tenth date of the Professional League.
Meanwhile, Barracas Central tied 1-1 against Talleres de Córdoba and Deportivo Riestra beat Lanús 3-1 in the other matches played this Friday.
In Córdoba, Unión took the lead with a goal from Uruguayan Adrián Balboa in the first half and seemed to be heading for a victory that would leave them alone at the top.
However, in stoppage time, Matías Suárez -with a header- gave the home team the equaliser after a lengthy VAR review, due to an alleged offside position by the veteran Belgrano striker.
Beyond this circumstance, the Santa Fe team remained at the top, although shared with Huracánfor the moment, both with 19 points.
For its part, Talleres managed to draw 1-1 in its visit to Barracas Central, a match that was played on Huracán’s pitch.
The local team started off winning with a goal from Jonathan Candia in the final stretch of the match, although Talleres equalised with a goal from Matías Galarza and remained in the group of runners-up to the leaders.
Riestra also came back strong in its small Bajo Flores stronghold, where it won 3-1 against Lanús, who played for more than an hour with one less player due to the expulsion of Abel Luciati in the first half.
The home team then took advantage and took the lead with goals from Antony Alonso and Alexander Díaz, then Lanús scored through Jonathan Torres, but in the end Jonathan Herrera sealed Riestra’s victory.
