Forward of FC Krylya Sovetov Samara, Ivan Sergeev, moved to St. Petersburg Zenit. On Monday, January 10, the club’s official website reports.
Zenit and Krylia Sovetov Samara have reached an agreement on the forward’s transfer. The contract with the player is calculated until the end of the 2024/25 season, ”the message says.
As noted by Sport-Express, this season Sergeev played 20 matches for the Samara club, scored eight goals and made six assists.
Sergeev became a player of Wings of the Soviets in August 2020. In his first season for the Samara club, he scored 40 goals in 39 games in the FNL championship, thereby setting a league record.
In November 2021, Ivan Sergeev received an invitation to the Russian national team and was included in the application for matches against Cyprus and Croatia.
In July, former Zenit goalkeeper Andrei Lunev moved to the German football club Bayer. The footballer signed a contract with the club until 2023.
On July 1, Lunev left Zenit as a free agent – the club and the goalkeeper did not agree on the terms of the contract extension.
