Celta turned the match around against Valencia with a 3-1

This Friday, the Celestes took all three points after a resounding 3-1 victory over the Ches on matchday 2 of Spain – LALIGA 2024 – 2025. At minute 13 of the first half, Diego López found a header to open Valencia’s scoring. However, Celta took control of the match and, after a spectacular play by Óscar Mingueza, managed to tie the game (22′ 1T). Not satisfied with them, they were able to establish an advantage when Iago Aspas connected the ball to score a goal from a play at 27 minutes of the first half. Finally, Fran Beltrán led the team of Claudio Giráldez to celebrate the well-deserved victory, through a shot (14′ 2T).

Celta striker Iago Aspas squandered a chance to extend their lead after missing a penalty in the 49th minute of the first half.

The star of the match was Carlos Dominguez. The Celta defender was important in clearing 7 balls and clearing 6 balls out of the danger area.

For the next match, the Celestes will play away against Villarreal, while the Ches will visit Athletic Bilbao.

With this result, the host team has six points throughout the tournament and is at the top of the table. The visitors, on the other hand, have not yet scored any points and are in twentieth place.
