Good news for football fans: ZDF will continue to report extensively on the Champions League. The broadcaster has signed a new three-year contract with UEFA.
ZDF will show highlights from the new Champions League on Wednesday evening. The public TV broadcaster says it has signed a contract with UEFA for the most important European football cup, which is valid for the next three seasons until 2027.
According to a statement from ZDF, the new agreement includes linear re-use rights and clip rights for all Champions League matches that can be broadcast every Wednesday from 11 p.m. The contract also includes the live rights for the final.

ZDF initially showed the draw for the new league phase of the competition this Thursday (6 p.m.) live on the Internet on “sportstudio.de” and in the media library. The first 60-minute broadcast on television with highlights will be on September 18 (11 p.m.). Live matches of the Champions League – apart from the final – are only available on the paid Internet channels DAZN and Prime Video.
