What are the pensions available at Caja de Santa Fe?

As we mentioned earlier, in addition to ordinary retirement, the Santa Fe Retirement and Pension Fund It offers a regular retirement for Malvinas veterans, one for Teaching Staff, another for the Elderly and finally a Disability Retirement.

In this note we will briefly describe each of them.

Ordinary retirement

As its name indicates, this is the common retirement pension. It is a benefit intended to cover the contingency of old age. To qualify, 30 years of computable service are required in this retirement scheme or in another system adhering to the retirement reciprocity system. It is also necessary to be over 60 years old in the case of women and 65 in the case of men.

There is a system of compensation for age and lack of service. That is, the lack of service can be compensated with excess age or vice versa. If a person has completed his or her years of service in excess but is not yet old enough to retire, he or she can obtain the benefit by exchanging 2 years for 1. That is, in exchange for 2 years of service, he or she obtains 1 year for age. And it is the same if one wants to exchange years of age to obtain missing years of service.

Ordinary Retirement for Malvinas Veterans

This pension is similar to the previous one and is intended for soldiers who served in the Malvinas War. To qualify, they must be over 45 years old and have served 20 years. Most of the contributions must have been made to this retirement and pension fund.

Retirement for teaching staff

This procedure is carried out to obtain an ordinary retirement through a special regime and is intended for Teaching Staff. The conditions are to be over 57 years old in the case of women and over 60 in the case of men. In addition, 30 years of service are required and the majority must have been contributed to this retirement and pension fund.

Retirement due to advanced age

This type of retirement is intended for people over 70 years of age, even if they do not have 30 years of service. In this case, the requirement is to have at least 20 years of contributions, mostly to this pension fund. They must also prove at least 8 years of effective service within the last 10 years prior to applying for retirement.

Disability retirement

This benefit is intended to cover the contingency of disability occurring during the employment relationship. To obtain it, it is necessary to prove with the opinion of the Medical Board of this Retirement and Pension Fund a percentage of total and permanent disability greater than 66% of the body. It is also necessary that the disability has occurred during the employment relationship or 2 years after termination.

There are no age or years of contribution requirements, but it is necessary that the majority of the services provided have been performed for this retirement and pension fund.
