Santa Fe: “High-risk” prisoners must wear orange uniforms

Starting next Monday, those prisoners in Santa Fe who have been classified as part of the “high danger” will begin to use orange uniforms in prisons. The change of clothing had been included in the new law on the Execution of the Sentence approved in December of last year, promoted by the Ministry of Security and Justice of the province.

The objective of implementing these uniforms in prisons is to increase the security and visibility of prisoners classified as “Level 1”considered highly dangerous. The text of the regulations details that it will be established “in which cases the use of uniforms will be mandatory, and different uniforms may be assigned according to the legal status, the level of security, the assigned circulation area or the tasks that the inmate performs”.
