Lucky draw for the defending champions: Bayer Leverkusen will host second division football club SV Elversberg in the second round of the DFB Cup. Record winners FC Bayern Munich have to travel to FSV Mainz 05. The second round matches will be played on October 29th/30th. The round of 16 will also take place this year (December 3rd/4th). The final will take place on May 24th, 2025 in Berlin’s Olympic Stadium.
