Why is Ironmonger’s Day celebrated?
Every September 3rd is celebrated the Ironmonger’s Day in commemoration of the date on which the Association of Hardware Stores, Paint Stores and Bazaarstoday known as the Chamber of Hardware and Related Businesses of the Argentine Republic (Cafara). The entity, created in 1905, brings together the hardware sector and companies linked to the activity, and is one of the institutions with the greatest tradition and experience in the country.
The Chamber is based in the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires and has a training room with all the amenities and technology for the delivery of courses and seminars. The entity has a permanent staff for member care and development and implementation of activities for the sector.
