When it comes to transfers, SV Guntamatic is (still) quiet

Football transfers can be completed in Austria up to and including February 7, then the window will only open again after the 2021/2022 season. At SV Guntamatic Ried, not much has happened since the start of training under the new head coach Robert Ibertsberger on January 3rd.

The contracts with the two Brazilians Valdir (a total of 97 minutes used) and Reinaldo (no use), which could not prevail, were terminated.

The young center forward Lukas Schlosser, who was primarily used by the Young Vikings, should either be loaned out or given away, according to the sporting director Thomas Reifeltshammer. You are in talks with a second division, so Reifeltshammer. “Such an intermediate step would certainly be good for Schlosser’s athletic development.” Julian Turi (20) is also to be handed over to a second division team as a cooperation player. Marcel Canadi is hoping for more time under the new coach.

Right-back Matthias Gragger, who suffered a setback with his cruciate ligament rupture, is currently being carefully introduced to team training. For this reason, the obligation of a trained right-back is quite conceivable, said the sports director in the OÖN conversation. In the first half of the season, the universally applicable Julian Wießmeier played on the right back. Basically, the squad is very well positioned for the spring, said Reifeltshammer. But keep your eyes open, even when looking for another center forward. With Seifedin Chabbi, there is currently only one classic attacker in the squad.

So far, there have been no specific inquiries for service providers such as goalkeeper Samuel Radlinger, defender Tin Plavotic or offensive player Ante Bajic. “We’re completely relaxed because most of the players have long-term contracts.”

20 players already “boosted”

It is gratifying, according to Reifeltshammer in the OÖN conversation, that 20 players have already been vaccinated three times. Only three players have not yet been vaccinated. “Of course it is important for us as a club – not only for organizational reasons – that as many players as possible are vaccinated,” says Reifeltshammer.

Due to the corona pandemic, the Riedern deliberately refrained from a training camp. “We have very good conditions with the training center and the two soccer fields of the municipality of Ried. I hope that we can play the friendly against Steyr next Saturday (2pm) on the natural grass.”
