An important group of motorcycles decided to reduce the final prices of its motorcyclesa product of the recent reduction of the PAIS tax for the import of inputs for the production process. The company points out that this will allow “offer more competitive prices, boosting consumption and strengthening the industry.”
On Monday, the Government published decree 777/2024, which reduces the tax rate COUNTRY tax from 17.5% to 7.5%. This applies only to imported components that are integrated with local parts.
Before this, the Corven Group decided to reduce the value of its motorcycles by approximately 5% in the new price lists. This includes Corven Motos, Mondial, Kymco, Kawasaki, Triumph and Bajaj.
This price reduction will take place from entry-level models of the brands that make up the group. This is the case of the Corven Energy AD R2, the best-selling 110cc motorcycle on the market, which had a 3% drop in its RRP in its new price list.
But there is also a wide variety of models that are covered by the low, such as a “modern classic” or a Mondial Dax 70 cc, which went from $1,910,990 to $1,815,441; a Street naked Bajaj Rouser N250 which went from $ 5,664,990 to $ 5,381,741, up to an urban scooter with cutting-edge equipment such as the Kymco Agility 200i which went from $5,331,990 to $4,875,391.
But there are also models that present a more pronounced drop in weight: from a latest generation 110cc cub as is the case of the Energy Tunning R2, which lowered its RRP by 8% from $1,908,990 to $1,756,271; to the iconic model Corven Triax 250 Touring, a motorcycle with an exclusive design, which includes complete equipment designed for those who want to travel long distances, comfortably and safely, which had as its last reported RRP a value of $ 1,908,990 and, from this announcement, a price list is reported Current RRP of $1,756,990which represents a drop of 8%. The price drop also covers elite models as is the case of the Triumph Tiger 1200 Rally Pro, which also presents a 5% reduction in its RRP accompanied by other high-end models such as the legendary Kawasaki.
For his part, the director of the group’s individual mobility business unit, Ariel Gibaut, stressed: “At Grupo Corven we consider it essential to transfer these policies that promote consumption and, at the same time, strengthen the local industry and economy.”
He added: “It is a historic commitment of the company to support measures that protect the pockets of Argentine consumers, facilitating access to our products with the best quality and at always competitive prices; that is why our price reduction, which can be seen in all our new lists, achieves an average reduction of around 5%”
The Corven group projects a reactivation of the market in the short term, in which they estimate a year-end closing of 500 thousand units soldto continue this trend by 2025.
