After the block leaders of the Senate agree with the Vice President Victoria Villarruel postpone the session that was scheduled for this Thursday until next week, the bench of Unión por la Patria insisted on moving forward with the debate, even if there was no quorum in the chamber.

Despite the lack of agreement in the commission of Parliamentary Workfrom the opposition bloc they asked to discuss the financing of National Universities and the DNU that grants $100 billion in reserved funds for the SIDE. This proposal leaves aside the debate of the Single Paper Ballotwhich was another of the topics planned for tomorrow’s debate.

According to the UP senators, Article 59 states that “if in the plenary session of parliamentary work no agreement is reached on the issues to be discussed on the agenda, Any senator may make a proposal in this regard, which will be submitted to the House for consideration.”.

Through a presentation made to the vice president Victoria Villarruelthe senators explained: “Considering that no agreement has been reached in the Plenary of Parliamentary Work, nor has the Work Plan been distributed within the time limits provided for by regulations, We hereby inform you of our desire to hold a regular session on Thursday, September 5.”.
