Disney+ announced today that Only Murders in the Buildingthe Emmy-winning hit comedy series produced by 20th Television, has been renewed for a fifth season of ten episodes. The fourth season of the series is currently airing, with new episodes every Tuesday.

The latest installment features the most stellar cast of the series to date, with the return of Meryl Streepwinner of Oscar and Emmy awards and Eugene Levy, Zach Galifianakis, Eva Longoria, Richard Kind, Melissa McCarthy, Kumail Nanjiani and Molly Shannon. The cast joins the stars Steve Martin, Martin Short, Selena Gomez and Michael Cyril Creighton.

What is the fourth season of Only Murders in the Building about?

In Season 4 of Only Murders in the Building, the amateur podcasting trio confront the shocking events that occurred at the end of Season 3 involving Charles’s doppelganger and friend, Sazz Pataki. Their investigation takes them to Los Angeles, where a Hollywood studio is preparing a movie about the Only Murders podcast. As Charles (Martin), Oliver (Short) and Mabel (Gomez) race back to New York, they embark on an even more epic journey: through the courtyard of their building to delve into the twisted lives of the residents of Arconia’s West Tower.

Only Murders in the Building comes from co-creators and writers Steve Martin and John Hoffman (“Grace & Frankie,” “Looking”). The fourth season is executive produced by John Hoffman, Steve Martin, Martin Short, Selena Gomez, This Is Us creator Dan Fogelman (available on Disney+), and Jess Rosenthal. Since its first season, the series has been consistently well-received by critics, and the third season earned 21 Emmy Award nominations, the most for the series to date.
