Waldo Wolff spoke about the attempted attack on the president of the Rural Society: “The device was intended to hurt”

“Two packages arrived at the Rural Society, one addressed to its president and another to its vice president. The package addressed to its president was taken up to the first floor where he has his office. When his secretary opened it, there was an explosion typical of a device that causes a loud noise and some minor damage to his desk, his computer and his monitor,” Wolff told the media.

The minister recounted the sequence of events once the device exploded: “As a result of that, the fire alarms were activated, The secretary was transferred with a small bruise in the hands and three other people who had inhaled the result of that explosion, and they are all fine, luckily.”

“We have a crisis committee in these cases of the different forces of the Ministry of Security of CABA, where the second package was isolated and A controlled explosion was carried out on the second package, which was addressed to the vice president.. The Rural Society’s statement

Minutes after the incident, the Sociedad Rural Argentina (SRA) released a statement with details of the attempted attack: “From the Sociedad Rural Argentina we inform that today at our Social Headquarters, We have received a package that when opened generated smoke, activating the security protocol of the building”.

“It should be noted that No one was injured and people who were in contact with the smoke were removed to a health center for proper monitoring. Given this situation, we alerted the public forces who are carrying out the corresponding operation throughout the building and conducting the relevant investigation,” they add in the text.
