Students between 16 and 30 years old will receive a sum of up to $35,000 starting in September. The call for applications for Progresar Trabajo is still open.
This Thursday, the Ministry of Human Capitalthrough the Ministry of Educationannounced the increase in the value of the quota of the Progresar scholarships by 75%: they will go from $20,000 to $35,000 per monthstarting in September.
The programme aims to support young people in completing compulsory education, higher education or vocational training, and this is reflected in the name of each of its lines and the respective ages of the beneficiaries: Progress Mandatoryfor students between 16 and 24 years old, and Progress Higherfor young people between 17 and 24 or up to 30 if they are advanced in their career. In the case of training in Nursing, there is no age limit.
The increase also includes the line Progress Workfor those between 18 and 24 years old; or up to 40, in the case of unregistered workers. In all cases, the income of the applicants’ family group must not exceed three times the Minimum Living Wage and Mobile Wage in force in Argentina, which in September 2024 is $268,056. Each beneficiary is required to provide certifications of educational presence.
What are the requirements for the Progresar Scholarships?
People who want to access the program Progresar scholarshipsmust meet the following points:
- Be native or naturalized Argentineor foreigner with 2-year legal residence in the country and have an ID.
- Have between 16 and 24 years old fulfilled at the time of closing of the call.
- The sum of the income of the student and his/her family group must not exceed 3 Minimum, Vital and Mobile Salaries (SMVM)except when young applicants are entitled to a non-contributory disability pension granted under Article 9 of Law 13478.
- Students must meet the condition of being regular students.
- Engage in complementary activities determined by the program, such as the Vocational and Labor Orientation Course.
- Comply with the academic conditions established in the Progress Regulation.
- Count on the complete vaccination schedule or in progress according to age group.
How to apply for Progresar Scholarships 2024
The procedure to apply for the scholarship can be done in virtual formTo do so, the interested party must:
- Verify that all personal data is up to date in My ANSES and then enter the Progresar official website. This step can also be done in the mobile application.
- Choose the scholarship line that corresponds (mandatory, superior, work).
- Create a username and password to log in.
