Paralympics in Paris: Bronze in table tennis: Wolf wins second medal

In the semifinals, a Norwegian was too strong for table tennis player Juliane Wolf. Flag bearer Edina Müller missed the direct route to the kayak final.

Juliane Wolf missed the table tennis final at the Paralympics, but secured bronze by reaching the semi-finals. The 36-year-old lost 0:3 sets to Norwegian Aida Husic Dahlen in the round of the best four in the Paris exhibition hall. “I’m disappointed. I had set myself higher goals than I showed in the end,” she said disappointedly.

At the beginning of the Paralympics, Wolf won silver in the doubles with Stephanie Grebe. “If someone had told me beforehand that I would win two medals, I would have been totally happy,” said Wolf.

Flag bearer Edina Müller was unable to qualify directly for the final in the 200-meter kayak. The 39-year-old came second in her heat on the course in Vaires-sur-Marne. Only the two heat winners will go directly to the final on Sunday (11.25 a.m.). Müller, who is paraplegic, must first compete in the semifinal (10 a.m.).
