To apply for the benefit, workers must present an Argentine ID and documents certifying the dismissal and the time worked in an employment relationship.
The National Social Security Administration (ANSES) has already announced the minimum and maximum amount that laid-off workers who are receiving unemployment benefits from September will be able to access, who can access it and their requirements.
The amounts that these beneficiaries can receive in the quotas assigned according to the case depend exclusively on the Minimum, Vital and Mobile Salary (SMVM) which recently received an increase as decreed by the National Government in July. For the month of September, the floor will be $268,056.50.

Who can access unemployment benefits from ANSES
This benefit is intended for people who were fired from their jobs without just cause, for reasons beyond their control or because their contract was terminated or for external causes that are stipulated in the Employment Contract Law No. 24,013.
The requirements to be able to collect the subsidy are:
- Permanent workers: have at least 6 months of work with contributions in the last 3 years prior to dismissal or termination of the contract.
- Seasonal and casual workers: having worked less than 12 months in the last 3 years and more than 90 days in the last year, before the end of the work.
Unemployment benefit amount in September
The amount that beneficiaries receive depends exclusively on their income and contributions during the time they worked in the job from which they were dismissed. The installments can be from 2 to 12 and, according to current regulations, the beneficiaries of this subsidy may not receive less than $134,028.25 nor more than $268,056.50.
