In this sense, Arrecifes was declared “Cradle of Sports Motorsports Champions”This important recognition was awarded by the Chamber of Deputies of Buenos Aires to the City of Arrecifes for having transcended throughout all eras in motor sport, both at the Provincial, National and International level, thanks to the notable performance of the outstanding drivers – amateurs and professionals – from the town.
In addition, the city of Arrecifes has the Arrecifes Museum and Historical Archivewhich was created by municipal ordinance no. 101 on June 2, 1968 and inaugurated on July 9 of that same year. In 1983 its collection was moved to a separate building that had previously occupied the former municipal market. Today the Museum opens its doors with new proposals, exhibitions, displays, presenting its heritage in a novel and original way, guaranteeing surprise and direct interaction with the visitor, merging the history and art of the region.

Arrecifes is located at the intersection of routes 51 and 191, 170 km from the capital. It is accessed via RN 8, Km 176. From Buenos Aires, via RN 9 and Route 8.
