Dexter Morgan has returned in the first teaser trailer for the origin story series Dexter: Original Sin. The series of Paramount+ also announced its release date: Friday, December 13 on streaming.

What is Dexter: Original Sin about?
The series is set in Miami in 1991 and follows a young Dexter (Patrick Gibson) “in his transition from student to vengeful serial killer. When his bloodthirsty impulses can no longer be ignored, Dexter must learn to channel his inner darkness. With the guidance of his father, Harry (Christian Slater), adopts a Code designed to help him find and kill people who deserve to be eliminated from society without appearing on law enforcement’s radar. This is a particular challenge for young Dexter as he begins a forensic internship with the Miami Metropolitan Police Department.”

The series also stars Patrick Dempsey, Molly Brown, James Martinez, Christina Milian, Alex Shimizu, Reno Wilson and the special guest star Sarah Michelle Gellar.
The program recovers the showrunner Clyde Phillipswho served as showrunner on the acclaimed first four seasons of the original series.
The show is currently in production in Los Angeles on its 10-episode debut season.
