With this operation, Molinos takes control of the Sibarita brand for Argentina, Chile, Paraguay, Colombia and Uruguay. This includes the industrial plant located in the town of Pilar, province of Buenos Aires.

In this way, Molinos expands its frozen product offeringa category in which it already participates with the Granja del Sol Milanese and hamburgers.

Molinos is owned by the Pérez Companc group, which has been chaired by Luis Pérez Companc since the restructuring of the holding company following the death of Gregorio “Goyo” Pérez Companc in June of this year.

In an internal communication to employees, Molinos CEO Agustín Llanos said that “the incorporation of this beloved brand into the Molinos portfolio implies an opportunity to continue expanding consumption opportunities in which the company participates.”

The final closing of the purchase will take place in the coming weeks, once the final agreements and the audits that are customary in these processes have been finalized.

“This acquisition reaffirms the path of growth, development and innovation of the group formed by Rosario, Pilar and Luis Pérez Companc in the platforms of mass consumption, agriculture and energy“, Molinos said in a statement.

The addition of Sibarita reaffirms Molinos Rio de la Plata’s strong presence in the Argentine food market. It also has the Matarazzo, Lucchetti and Don Vicente noodle labels, La Salteña empanadas, Gallo and Gallo Snacks rice, Cocinero oil, Blancaflor and Preferido flours, Exquisita premixes, Cruz de Malta and Nobleza Gaucha herbs, and Nieto Senetiner and Ruca Malen wines.

Molinos has been present in the local market for 122 years and has more than 2,500 employees out of a total of 10,000 people working in the different companies of the Pérez Companc group in the areas of mass consumption, agriculture and energy.
