Champions League: Who is showing Bayern vs. Zagreb on live stream and TV?

The UEFA Champions League is starting the new season – in a new league format. You can watch FC Bayern vs. Zagreb and Real vs. Stuttgart live.

Football fans will need two subscriptions for the Champions League this season. Amazon Prime Video will show one game every Tuesday. All other games will be broadcast by the streaming provider Dazn, which also charges a fee. The tournament’s new league structure can quickly make things confusing, as from this season onwards games will be played not only on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, but also on Thursdays.

The two streaming services are the only providers with the rights to broadcast live matches in the reformed Champions League. DAZN will broadcast 186 of 203 matches in each of the three seasons from 2024/25. 17 matches from the premier class can be seen on Prime Video. Both providers rely on well-known experts: Michael Ballack and Sami Khedira are among those involved at DAZN, while Tabea Kemme and Matthias Sammer are involved at Prime Video.

ZDF shows highlights of the Champions League on free TV

Only ZDF offers moving images of the Champions League at no extra cost. The public TV broadcaster says it has signed a contract with UEFA for the most important European football cup, which is valid for the next three seasons until 2027.

According to a statement from ZDF, the new agreement includes linear re-use rights and clip rights for all Champions League matches, which can be broadcast every Wednesday from 11 p.m. The live rights for the final are also part of the contract.
