Money laundering: details of the assets intended for productive investment

The Ministry of Economy issued a joint resolution approving the list of tariff items of the Common Nomenclature of Mercosur (NCM) corresponding to the goods that may be invested.

He Ministry of Economy together with the Secretariat of Industry and Commerce issued this Wednesday a resolution published in the Official Gazette in which it approves the list of movable property destined for productive investment which can be acquired through the bleach.

The funds collected from the money laundering process can be used for the following assets:

  • public securities: issued by the national, provincial, municipal and/or CABA State
  • certificates of participation: trusts for productive investment, real estate, infrastructure and SME financing
  • mutual fund shares open and closed
  • actions placed by public offering
  • negotiable obligations
  • deferred payment checks
  • stock notes
  • public securities/securities in risk funds of mutual guarantee companies.
  • onerous operations: real estate projects started after July 8, 2024 or that, as of that date, have a degree of progress of less than 50%
  • vehicles that meet the conditions proposed by the resolution.
  • contracts for the leasing of works or similar.

The head of the Federal Administration of Public Revenues (AFIP), Florencia Misrahi, warned that there will be no changes in the date to enter the money laundering process and that this will be the last opportunity to do so, until 2038The official assured that those who join will pay much less than if the agency detects their hidden assets.
