Nani once won the Champions League with Manchester United, now the Portuguese is about to return to Europe.
Former Man United star Nani is apparently set to make a return to Europe. As Sky Italy reported, the now 35-year-old joins FC Venice. Accordingly, the Portuguese is already on site for the medical check.
Attacking player Nani had played for Orlando City SC in the MLS for the past three years and his contract in Florida expired at the end of December. Nani experienced his best time at Manchester United. He made 230 competitive appearances for the Red Devils between 2007 and 2014 and won the English championship four times, among other things. In 2008 he also won the Champions League.
Is Nani twirling with Cuisance?
After leaving England, Nani was still active in Europe for Fenerbahce Istanbul, FC Valencia and Lazio Rome. He also became European champion with the Portuguese national team in 2016.
Should the move to Venice come about, Nani would meet former Bayern professional Michael Cuisance there, among others. Frenchman Venezia is fighting to stay up in Serie A this season, currently one point separates them from the relegation zone.
