Argentine Trains announced that they have already put on sale the long distance train tickets for July. This is ideal for those looking for a winter vacation. Users can purchase their tickets at Retiro, Constitución, Once and the stations in between.
Passengers who book their tickets through the website will receive a 10% discount. Retirees also receive a 40% discount, and people who present a Disability Certificate (CUD) will travel free of charge if they obtain their tickets through the company’s official website.

Buenos Aires – Mar del Plata
There are two daily services that leave at 7:22 (stopping at all intermediate stations, with a connection at General Guido to Divisadero de Pinamar) and at 12:41 direct from the Buenos Aires terminal to Mar del Plata. The return will be at 1:22 (direct) and at 14:50 (stopping at all) from the station in the seaside town.
The service has 12 stations along its route: Coronel Brandsen, Chascomús, Lezama, Castelli, Sevigné, Dolores, General Guido, Maipú, Las Armas, General Pirán, Coronel Vidal and Vivoratá. In addition, a direct reinforcement has been added, leaving on Fridays at 17:10 and returning from Mar del Plata on Sundays at 11:47.
- Tickets to Mar del Plata cost 30,000 pesos in first class and 36,000 in Pullman.
General Guido – Divisadero de Pinamar
It runs on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays, leaving from General Guido at: 11:30 (Wednesdays and Fridays) and 11:05 (Sundays). From Divisadero de Pinamar it leaves at 14:15 (Wednesdays and Fridays) and 13:50 (Sundays).
- The service stops in Santo Domingo and General Madariaga and tickets between Divisadero de Pinamar and Constitución cost 23,000 pesos.
Buenos Aires-Rosario
There is one train a day, from Retiro at 7:30 p.m. and from Rosario Norte at 3:01 a.m. The service stops at the 11 intermediate stations along the route: Campana, Zárate, Lima, Baradero, San Pedro, Gob. Castro, Ramallo, San Nicolás, Empalme Villa Constitución, Arroyo Seco and Rosario Sur.
- Tickets cost 12,000 pesos in first class and 15,400 pesos in Pullman.
Buenos Aires-Cordoba
There are two weekly trains, from Retiro on Thursdays and Sundays at 3:45 p.m. and from Córdoba on Tuesdays at 5:00 p.m. and Fridays at 9:13 p.m. The service stops at 15 stations along the route: Campana, Zárate, Baradero, San Pedro, Ramallo, San Nicolás, Rosario Sur, Rosario Norte, Correa, Cañada de Gómez, Armstrong, Marcos Juárez, Leones, Bell Ville and Villa María.
- Tickets cost 23,000 pesos in first class, 27,600 in Pullman and 66,400 in a cabin for two people.
Buenos Aires-Tucuman
There are two weekly trains leaving from Retiro on Wednesdays and Sundays at 9:10 p.m. and from Tucumán on Tuesdays and Fridays at 9:30 p.m. The service stops at 21 stations along the route: Campana, Zárate, Baradero, San Pedro, San Nicolás, Rosario Sur, Rosario Norte, San Lorenzo, Andino, Serodino, Gálvez, Rafaela, Sunchales, Arrufó, Ceres, Pinto, Colonia Dora, Herrera, La Banda, Cevil Pozo and Alderetes.
- Tickets cost 30,000 pesos in first class, 35,800 in Pullman and 102,000 in a cabin for two people.
Buenos Aires-Bragado
There are three weekly services leaving from Once on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 18:35 and from Bragado on Mondays at 1:50 and on Wednesdays and Fridays at 4:50. The service stops at 7 stations along the route: Haedo, Luján, Mercedes, Suipacha, Chivilcoy, Vaccarezza and Mechita.
- Tickets to Bragado cost 12,000 pesos in first class and 14,295 in Pullman.
Buenos Aires-Pehuajó
There is a weekly service that departs from Once on Fridays at 18:35 and from Pehuajó on Sundays at 20:24. The service stops at 10 stations along the route: Haedo, Luján, Mercedes, Suipacha, Chivilcoy, Vaccarezza, Mechita, Bragado, 9 de Julio and Carlos Casares.
- Tickets to Pehuajó cost 18,000 pesos in first class and 21,680 in Pullman.
Buenos Aires-Junín
There is a daily service that leaves Retiro at 18:15 and returns at 1:10 from Monday to Saturday and at 1:31 on Sundays and holidays. The service stops at 10 stations on the outbound route: José C. Paz, Pilar, Mercedes P, Franklin, Rivas, Castilla, Rawson, Cucha Cucha, Chacabuco and O´Higgins; adding the Sáenz Peña station on the return route.
- Tickets to Junín cost 10,000 pesos in first class and 11,955 in Pullman.
How to get long-distance train tickets
Before starting the tour, It is mandatory to confirm the trip between 72 and 24 hours prior. To do so, passengers must go to www.trenesargentinos.gob.ar and complete the procedure by clicking the “Travel Confirmation” button.
To do this, you must enter the reservation number and security code that you will receive when purchasing the ticket. Once the procedure is completed,you will receive the ticket to travel by email.
