On Saturday, Javier Milei will lead an event in Parque Lezama to celebrate the legal status of La Libertad Avanza at the national level. It is expected that during this event, Milei will also invite some of the leaders of the space that will have Martín Menem as vice president of the party.
Obtaining the LLA seal at the national level will pave the way for the legislative elections of 2025, when the ruling party will not be able to put Javier Milei on the ballot to attract votes. Libertarian sources confirmed that the Promoting Board chaired by Karina Milei has already been formed and will be composed of nine members: Martín Menem; Agustín Coto; Cesar Treffigner; Gabriel Bornoroni; Alberto “Bertie” Benegas Lynch; Lilia Lemoine; Roxana Cozzo; Romina Diez and María Pilar Ramírez, in addition to the two legal representatives Eduardo “Lule” Menem and the lawyer Santiago Viola.
The boss, Karina Milei
The intention is to appoint the head of the Chamber of Deputies, Martín Menem, to lead the party alongside Karina Milei. In addition, it is expected that LLA will bring María Pilar Ramírez in the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires, Sebastián Pareja in the province of Buenos Aires and Gabriel Bornoroni in Córdoba as authorities in the provinces. Also, Romina Diez for Santa Fe, César Treffinger in Chubut and Martín Menem in La Rioja.
To do so, they had to accumulate the largest number of members nationwide, which corresponds to 4 percent of the total number of registered voters, in the five founding districts. The Libertarians presented their registrations in six districts: the city of Buenos Aires, the province of Buenos Aires, Santa Fe, Córdoba, La Rioja and Chubut, and it is estimated that Salta will be added to the list.
The libertarian administration also has 15 other districts in which they have already obtained provisional recognition and, in some cases, definitive recognition. In the corridors of Casa Rosada they assured that the idea is to hold events in the different provinces with the regional shipowners, to promote the label and highlight the force, although the presence of Javier Milei is ruled out.
As a second requirement established in the Political Parties Law (23.298), LLA must “have held internal elections to constitute the definitive authorities of the party” within a period of 180 days, and within two months “of obtaining recognition, have presented the books referred to in article 37 of the law, for the purposes of their signature.”
PRO Rival
The formalization of the constitution of LLA as a national political party will allow the space, once approved by the Judge Maria Romilda Servinito compete in the next elections without the need to form electoral alliances with other parties, as happened in 2023. This milestone will be celebrated by Javier Milei on Saturday in Parque Lezama with the launching ceremony of La Libertad Avanza (LLA) at the national level.

The park, located on the border of the Buenos Aires neighborhoods of San Telmo and La Boca, was the scene of Milei’s first acts when the economist turned to party politics, prior to the 2021 legislative elections, in which he was elected deputy. Now the President will return to that stage to present his strength at the national level, as part of the party’s organization and formation for the upcoming elections, which is being led by his sister and general secretary of the Presidency, Karina Milei.
The ceremony will take place days after the Return of the President from New Yorkwhere the president will give his first speech before the UN General Assembly on Tuesday. “To end the caste we return to Parque Lezama. National launch of LLA,” reads the flyer for the event, scheduled for Saturday 28 at 7 p.m. Milei posted it on her social networks, where she accompanied the invitation with her rallying cry: “Hello everyone, I am the lion.”
