Why World Pharmacist Day is celebrated every September 25th

The celebration of the day was established in 2009 by the FIP, during a council in Istanbul. And the date of September 25 was chosen for commemorate the day the organization was createdThe aim of this celebration is to promote and support the role of these professionals in health promotion, disease prevention and treatment monitoring.

The International Federation of Pharmacists brings together various associations of pharmacologists from around the world. It was founded on 25 September 1912 and had to stop its work due to the outbreak of the First World War, then resumed its activity in 1922. The Second World War also affected its activity, which has been regularised from 1946 to the present day.
