Russians Victoria Sinitsina and Nikita Katsalapov on January 15 won gold medals in ice dancing at the European Figure Skating Championships, which takes place in Tallinn.
Athletes were awarded 217.96 points: 87.89 points for rhythm dance, 130.07 points for free dance. In second place were also the Russians – Alexandra Stepanova and Ivan Bukin, who scored a total of 213.20 points. Closed the top three Italians Charlene Gignard and Marco Fabbri (207.97 points).
On December 24, figure skaters Alexandra Stepanova and Ivan Bukin became Russian champions in ice dancing.
The couple took first place in the free dance. Stepanova and Bukin scored 134.61 points. On account of the athletes in the amount of rhythm dance and free dance 223.37 points.
The silver medalists of the championship were Diana Davis and Gleb Smolkin, they have 207.70 points in the sum of rhythm dance and free dance. Bronze medal was won by Elizaveta Khudaiberdiyeva and Yegor Bazin (195.75 points in the sum of two performances).
Victoria Sinitsina and Nikita Katsalapov, who were in the lead after the rhythm dance, withdrew due to Katsalapov’s injury in training.
