The raw materials trading company Trafigura managed the logistics for the export of 70,000 cubic meters of unconventional oil (shale oil), coming mainly from the developments of View in Dead Cow.
The operation was carried out this month from Post 3 in Puerto Galván, in the town of Bahía Blanca, destined for the USA.

The logistics for this operation included more than 2,000 truck trips between different deposits in the province of Neuquén to the modern truck unloading station of the Bahía Blanca Refinery, which connects directly with Posta 3, in Puerto Galván.
The work was carried out in coordination with the Bahía Blanca Port Management Consortium (CGPBB), successfully loading the ship “Safeen Strength”, an Aframax, almost 230 meters in length.

With this operation, which is added to the exports of 30,000 m3 in July 2023 and 46,000 m3 in August of this year, Trafigura facilitated the shipment of almost 150,000 m3 of crude oil from Vaca Muerta producers.
In addition, new exports are expected 95,000 m3 in October, with expectations of a continued increase in volumes in the coming months.
In parallel, Trafigura is developing the “Derivation Project” together with Oldelval to renew the pipeline from the trunk systemAllen-Puerto Rosales section, until the Bahía Blanca Refinerywhich will allow the refinery to enhance its capacity to receive up to 24,000 m3 of crude oil every day.
