Disney notified users that they will begin to detect the territory where the household holding the subscription account is located through the activity and Wi-Fi connections they use to view the content. In the event that they detect that someone outside the “owner” house is using the account, they will be asked for a special access password.
How much will the new plans cost?
If users want to keep the service the same way, sharing the password with someone outside the home, they can add that person as an “Extra Member” for $6.99 per month (Disney+ Basic), or $9 $.99 (Disney+ Premium, no ads). Only one Extra Member will be allowed per account. This would add to the value of the current plans:
- Basic Plan: $9.99 dollars
- Premium Plan: $15.99 dollars
- Annual Premium Plan: $159.99 dollars
