According to a study carried out by Taquion, 7 out of 10 Argentines made their last online purchase through a marketplace. In this framework, Mercado Libre shared a practical guide with two tips to save on shipping on purchases within the platform.

He e-commerce continues to position itself as a key option among Argentine consumers, gaining relevance over physical purchasing channels and adding more and more benefits in the current consumption context. Buying online allows you to compare prices between millions of products and brands, take advantage of offers and the most interesting thing: optimize shipping options to take advantage of the convenience of home deliveries quickly, safely and at no cost.

The same survey positions free shipping as the most valued benefit among those who buy online. However, not all users know how to get free shipping and thus lower the final price.

In that framework, Free market shared a practical guide with two tips to save shipping on purchases within the platform.

  • Build your cart to reach the minimum: When you buy, make sure you reach the minimum amount of $28,000 with products from the same seller. Collective purchases are a good option if you do not reach the minimum alone. For purchases over $28,000 you will not pay any shipping. Thus, the final price will be cheaper.
  • I chose products full: If you buy products that are identified with the word fullmeans that you can reach the minimum without the products needing to be from the same seller. This means that you can group products with that denomination in the same cart and everything will arrive together, in the same package, without you having to pay for shipping.

Mercado Libre: fast shipping

80% of Mercado Libre shipments are made in less than 48 hours. The Taquion survey shows that when faced with a product of the same value, 54% of Argentines prefer to buy in a marketplace rather than a brand’s online store.

The main reason: fast and safe shipping (33%), followed by the possibility of comparing prices (25%) and the benefits of Protected Purchase and Returns (22%).
