Hurricane consolidated its position in second place in the Professional Leagueby defeating Sarmiento of Junín, at home by 3 to 1, while Union of Santa Fe fell on their court against Córdoba Central of Santiago del Estero by 2 to 0, in the two games that tonight launched the seventeenth date of the Professional League.
In Parque de los Patricios, the local team took the lead with a goal from Fernando Tobio but Sarmiento achieved a partial tie through Chilean Iván Morales. However, in the final stretch Huracán was able to break even with goals from Hernán De la Fuente and goalkeeper Lucas Acosta, against them.
Frank Kudelka’s team maintained the initiative throughout the 90 minutes, dominated and created situations, and finally took a well-deserved victory.
Thanks to this victory, Huracán was second, two points behind Vélez, the only leader, although with one more game, while Sarmiento was very close to the bottom in the annual table.
Union took a false step
Central Córdoba surprised Unión and clearly beat them 2-0 with goals from Juan Meli and Manuel Palavecino, and moved away from the bottom of the table.
In the first half of the match, the black and white team showed great ability to deploy the attack, with good circulation in the middle of the field. The circuit that linked the midfield with the forward line was effective and generated scoring opportunities.
Thus, and with a goal in each period, Central Córdoba took a resounding victory to maintain an undefeated record that has already lasted ten games.
And Unión, which lost after eight games, dropped to fourth place, although it is now six points behind Vélez.
