YPF Luz refinances Negotiable Obligations for US0 million

YPF Light last Friday launched a process to refinance its Class II Negotiable Obligations by US$400 million in the international market.

The company announced it through a relevant fact to the CNV. According to what this media learned, it is estimated to launch the early cancellation of all the Class II Negotiable Obligations in circulation for a value of US$400 million, at a fixed annual nominal rate of 10% and maturing on July 25, 2026. These are the ONs issued in July 2019.

As explained from YPF Light to Energy Reportthe company’s intention is to issue a new international bond, under American law, with a term of approximately 7 years.

YPF Luz will build a new 200 MW solar park in Mendoza

It is about the “El Quemado 1” Photovoltaic Solar Parkwhich will be located in the department of Las Heras, 53 km from the capital city, and 13 km from the town of Jocolí.

YPF Luz builds it in partnership with a local state company and requires an estimated investment in US$170 million.

The project developed together with EMESA (Mendoza energy company)is located in a high radiation area, and is estimated to have an estimated capacity factor of 31.4%.

In this first stage, the park will have more than 330,000 bifacial panels of the latest generation, installed on an area of ​​350 hectares.

Copper: Los Azules will be supplied with renewable energy

YPF Luz and McEwen Coppersubsidiary of the international mining company McEwen Mining, signed a memorandum of understanding which allows companies to negotiate exclusively to ensure the supply of the demand of the Los Azules copper project, in San Juan, with energy from a renewable source.

The agreement also provides for the connection of the project to the Argentine Interconnection System through a high voltage line whose design, construction and financing will be in charge of YPF Luzwhile the energy to be supplied will come from the company’s renewable assets connected to the SADI.

YPF Luz will supply waste gas to a leading Bitcoin mining company

This is a project that will allow the company to take advantage of the residual gas of YPF’s exploration activities, also called flare gasto supply energy to the bitcoin mining facilities of Genesis Digital Assets Limited (GDA), a leading company that operates 20 data centers around the world.

YPF Luz will build its fifth wind farm in a cement factory in Olavarría

The baptized Cementos Avellaneda Wind Farm It will have an installed power of up to 63 MW and will be located within the cement company’s property and on third-party land adjacent to the plant, over an area of ​​450 hectares.

From YPF Light They indicated that it will have nine state-of-the-art wind turbines, with Nordex Delta technology of 7MW of power per wind turbine. The park will have an estimated capacity factor of 47%.

Furthermore, it will generate 260,487 MWh/year of renewable energywhich is equivalent to the energy needs of about 72,000 homes, avoiding the emission of more than 119,824 tons of CO2 per year. Commissioning is planned for the first half of 2025.
