Lewandowski and Messi named to 2021 FIFA All-Star Team of the Year

Forwards Lionel Messi (French “Paris Saint-Germain” and the national team of Argentina) and Robert Lewandowski (Bayern, Poland national team) entered the symbolic team of the best players in 2021 according to the International Football Federation (FIFA). This was reported on Monday, January 17, by the Sport-Express newspaper.

Along with them, Erling Haaland (Borussia Dortmund, Norway) and Cristiano Ronaldo (Manchester United, Portugal) were recognized as the best strikers.

The symbolic team also included Paris Saint-Germain and Italy goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma, defenders Ruben Dias from Manchester City (Portugal), Leonardo Bonucci (Juventus, Italy), David Alaba (Real Madrid, Austria) and midfielders Jorginho (English club Chelsea and Italy), N’Golo Kante (Chelsea and France), Kevin De Bruyne (Manchester City, Belgium).

At the same time, Robert Lewandowski became the winner of the FIFA The Best award in the category of the best football player.

The award ceremony took place at the organization’s headquarters in Zurich.

Earlier on Monday, it became known that Chelsea head coach Thomas Tuchel was recognized as the best coach of last year. In addition to him, Italian head coach Roberto Mancini and Manchester City coach Josep Guardiola fought for the title of best coach.

Thomas Tuchel, 48, has been coaching Chelsea since January 2021.
